Water conservation measures to slow down the runoff and increase the water supply in the floodplain of Kozí stream
Blatecká, Markéta ; Komendová, Denisa (referee) ; Hyánková, Eva (advisor)
This thesis deals with the variety of measures in the floodplain of the piped Kozí creek, which aim to improve its morphological and ecological condition, slow down the runoff from the basin and increase the retention capacity of its surroundings. The thesis contains theoretical knowledge about revitalization, renaturation and restoration of water reserves in the landscape, which is then applied to concrete solutions. Associated with this topic is also the drainage of the landscape and an assessment of historical drainage interventions from a contemporary perspective, within which the thesis addresses theoretical and practical dealings with drainage structures that are no longer needed or no longer functional. The thesis includes the implementation of watercourse monitoring according to the HEM methodology, which serves as a tool for assessing the hydromorphological condition of watercourses. The evaluation of the monitoring is then used for the design of individual measures.
The possibility of the use of alternative soils into the Vlachovice dam body
Novák, Jiří ; Špano, Miroslav (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with possibility of the use of alternative soils into the Vlachovice dam body. In the introductory part, a brief description of the site of the Vlachovice dam is presented. Following section includes a research of the possibility of the use of alternative soils into the dam body. The research includes a description of the individual waterworks, along with the specifics of their construction process. Based on this research, a variant design of the typical profile for the Vlachovice dam is developed. There is also an estimation of cubaturs of materials needed to construct the selected design profile, as well as an estimation of cubaturs of available materials in the flood.
Water filtration and filter materials
Moravčíková, Světlana ; Talašová, Lucie (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with water filtration. Primarily it describes slow sand filtration and rapid sand filtration. For these types of filtration, the filtration mechanisms, filtration cycles, filtration regeneration and filter layout are described in more detail. In case of the rapid filters, the most commonly used types of drainage systems are summarized. Further there is a brief introduction of diatomite filters and membrane processes used in water industry. The next chapter contains most commonly used filter materials along with their basic properties. Practical part of the thesis focuses on assessment of efficiency of selected filter materials in the removal of pollution.
Filter Design and Operation
Přecechtěl, Karel ; Biela, Renata (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with the design and operation of water filters. The purpose of this work is insight into the operation of the water treatment plant. To find out what function it performs the water filters water treatment plant. The next step is designing the water supply filter parameters. Finally, the information gathered from various water treatment compared.
Vliv drenážních systémů na odtokové charakteristiky vybraného povodí
ČERMÁKOVÁ, Veronika
This bachelor thesis deals with drainage, especially drainage by drainage systems and their impact on various aspects of nature. The introductory part explains what drainage systems are, what they are used for and what they look like. Furthermore, the history and occurrence of drainage systems in the world and also in the Czech Republic are described. Subsequently, several chapters are devoted to methods of drainage and then a description of drainage systems. The following are the impacts of drainage systems on the water regime of the river basin and on the environment. After processing and analyzing data on runoff and precipitation conditions to a selected catchment area of the Jenínský stream, their behavior during the hydrological years 1984-1985, 2005-2007 and 2011-2013 was compared. In these years, the runoff coefficient was calculated, and subsequently double sum lines were constructed, which show the purpose of identifying changes in the long-term balance of precipitation and runoff.

Analysis of the effect of drainage systems for water catchment system
NOCAROVÁ, Hana
In this diploma thesis I follow my bachelor thesis and generally deal with drainage systems and their influence on a water regime of a river basin. In the theoretical part, I describe issues associated with the drainage systems, whether their impact on the landscape or generally how they affect the water regime. Further I explain the water runoff in the landscape from its sorting and description of various runoff types up to the methods of its separation. Basic methods of the separation are described here, as well as separation with the use of digital filters. In the last part, these methods are used for separations of the runoff at selected river basins which are described in detail in the chapter named "material". For further comparison and results, the calculation of the runoff coefficient, analysis of precipitation and runoff events and analysis of subsidence branches were used. The chapter "results and discussion" where all results of this thesis are explained has been placed at the end.
Evaluation of changes in the functionality of the drainage systems of arable soils at Vysočina based on image analysis of time series multispectral satellite images
ŠTEFL, Jan
In Czechoslovakia 1 078 000 ha of agricultural land were drained. At present, the drain systems located in these areas are at the end of their lifetime because of unsatisfactory maintenance of these systems. This project deals with evaluation of changes in functionality of the drain systems used in arable land in Vysočina. In examined territory of the region Vysočina (except the district Pelhřimov) there were accidentally chosen testing spaces where the drain systems fill 25 -75% of surface area and where the analysis of vegetative factors and humidity was done. As a source for the vegetative factors and humidity, there were used satellite photographs Landsat. The aim was to discover whether the vitality of vegetation and humidity in the part of land with the drain systems and without the drain systems differ.
